EarFun has unveiled its latest flagship product, the Wave Pro X over-ear headphones, during the IFA 2026 event in Berlin. These headphones mark a significant advancement in audio technology for the company, integrating dual-driver audio capabilities, hybrid active noise cancellation, AI-driven processing, and an impressive battery life. A key feature of the Wave Pro X is its DCAA acoustic architecture, which employs two independently tuned dynamic drivers alongside high-purity voice coils. This configuration aims to deliver a more expansive soundstage while preserving audio detail across various frequencies.
The headphones are equipped with a sophisticated noise cancellation system, utilizing an eight-microphone array paired with real-time processing. This hybrid ANC setup is designed to dynamically adapt to ambient conditions, effectively minimizing external noise during audio playback. Battery longevity is another standout aspect, with EarFun claiming the Wave Pro X can last up to 90 hours on a single charge, or up to 50 hours when noise cancellation is activated. Additionally, a quick 15-minute charge can extend playback by approximately 10 hours.
Designed for comfort and convenience, the headphones feature a foldable structure with memory-foam earcups for prolonged use. Connectivity options include Bluetooth multipoint technology, which allows seamless switching between devices, and a 3.5mm wired connection with a high-resolution bypass option. According to EarFun CEO White Wang, the development of the Wave Pro X focused on enhancing sound quality, noise cancellation, comfort, connectivity, and battery life, rather than prioritizing a single feature.
In addition to the Wave Pro X, EarFun offered a glimpse of its forthcoming Air Pro 5 true wireless earbuds. These earbuds promise updated sound tuning, active noise cancellation, and adaptive processing. Notably, EarFun collaborated with engineers from Bose Corporation’s Audio Technology division to refine the acoustic engineering aspects of ANC modeling, tuning, and validation. Further details regarding the Air Pro 5’s specifications and release date are anticipated in the near future.
The Wave Pro X headphones are now available for purchase worldwide through EarFun’s official website and Amazon, priced at €149.99, $129.99, and £119.99.
