Toshihiro Suzuki, the President of Suzuki Motor Corporation, made a visit to Budapest on Thursday for important talks with Hungarian leaders. During his stay, he engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Prime Minister Péter Magyar, addressing key topics relevant to the automotive industry and its future.
In his meeting with Viktor Orbán, Suzuki explored a range of critical issues impacting the global economy and the automotive sector. The dialogue included the industry’s shift toward electric vehicles and the integration of emerging technologies. Suzuki’s presence in Hungary has been notable since the early 1990s. The company established its local subsidiary in 1991 and began vehicle production at its Esztergom manufacturing plant in 1992. This plant has since become a cornerstone of Hungary’s automotive industry, providing thousands of jobs and contributing significantly to the nation’s export economy.
Following his engagement with Orbán, Suzuki met with Prime Minister Péter Magyar to explore future investment opportunities and developments within Hungary.
